Heldur Karmo's 1955 "second version" of Auld Lang Syne in Estonian, sung to the same Scottish folk tune as the Burns original.

The Estonian text opens: "Kas noorepõlve sõprus võib meil meelest minna eal?" — "Can the friendship of our youth ever leave our minds?" The full lyric is on the Estonian version of this article.

Auld Lang Syne is sung as the final song at Hogmanay (New Year's Eve in Scotland) and at the end of a proper Scottish ceilidh.
